Driving the Fire Truck!

The Fire Department drove some of the EAC Alumni around the track at half time this past Saturday (11/06/2010) and I got to drive one of the trucks! The whole family got to ride in the truck to the game and around the track! They had a Great time and were very excited! We got in free to the game and got to watch from the end zone! Landon Reed Miner was born on Friday, 10/15/2010, at 4:06 PM. He was 7 lbs. 10 oz., and was 20 inches long. Brittany and Landon are both doing Great! :)

Update on the Miners

Well I haven't updated for about six months and I don't think I will ever catch up so I will just make this quick. Our computer was not running well and finally died. We tried to salvage as much as we could. Now we have a great new computer but I don't know how to use it very well. That is why there is no pictures with this post. Sorry!

This summer was busy with Tball games with Colton, Karate for Dayton and Swim Team for Briley. And all three did swim lessons as well as swimming for fun at the pool in the afternoon. We went to Utah for the 4th of July weekend and had fun camping with Wes 's family. We also went camping this summer on Mt Graham in a beautiful camping place and then camped again for the Bear Family reunion in Lakeside.

The kids are back in school, Briley is in 3rd grade, Dayton is in 1st and Colton is in Transition Kindergarten, and Mayley stays home and keeps me busy. Wes is also going half time at EAC. Taking the Fire Fighting 101. He is on the volunteer fire department here in town and we are so proud of him. Mayley reminds everyone who talks to her that her dad is a fire fighter. I am suppose to have my baby in two days on the 15th. I am suppose to be induced on Friday. So hopefully no other pregnant lady goes in labor before me and ruins my plans. We don't know if it is a boy or a girl and we are excited to find out in a couple of days. We have our boy and girl name and outfit ready. Well that is what is going on for us at this moment. I will have another update in a couple of days with a labor story and if I can figure out how to put pictures on our computer I will have some for you to see the next post.

DISNEYLAND!! - Part I

Well, these are from the last day at Disneyland. I started to post some last week and lost them. I am starting to have some more problems so I am going to go ahead and post it even though it is not done. I started working backward chronologically because of how it places them in order, but since I am having problems you won't get the first day first. Oh well, at least you will get something for now. I am also having trouble getting the video off of the memory card. In the first picture you will see Mary Poppins and I have a video when Briley got to go dance with them - it was pretty cool. So that will give you something to look forward to - along with the rest of the pictures!

Our yard Sale Treasures

Every Saturday we love to go to yard sale. Today we found some exciting treasures so I had to post pictures. First we found a 12 inch dutch oven for $15. That is really good for a dutch oven. Wes is pretty excited about that. The second is beautiful violins that need a lot of work, but will be very worth it in the end. I got them for $100 for both. It is a really long story about both of them but if the story is true about these violins I pretty much stole them. I am so excited about them and can't wait to get them restored. Hopefully that won't take to much money.

On your left is the violin that I call Julliard violin and the one on the right I'm calling the sister violin. If you know the story you will understand what I am talking about. But it is a long story and I am not the best at typing and don't have a lot of time either. So if you want to know the story you will have to call me.

Snow in Arizona?!!

We went to Mt. Graham the other day and played in the snow!! The kids all had a blast--thanks to many family members in Utah who pass down winter clothes to our kids! Without them the kids would not have had so much fun!! Thanks Utah family members!! We also filled up the bed of the truck with snow and brought it home. We made a snow man in the front yard with it!! This is a place we go to when we want to play in the snow. We like it cause it has a little hill that the kids can slide down! On the way to the mountain we stopped at a thrift store to look for some sleds but they did not have any. We then went to Ace Hardware and they did not have any either, but they said that they had a few plastic trash can lids that were extras and we could have them for FREE! It made the hill a lot more Fun! There is a video at the end of Colton going down!

Halloween

We made the kids costumes this year. They wanted to be transformers. It was fun creating them. I thought it was going to be harder than it was. They were not very comfortable and hard to walk in, so the kids were begging to be done with trick or treating early. It was a very fun Halloween! Briley is Optimus Prime, Dayton is Bumble Bee, Colton is Jazz, and Mayley is a 50's girl.

Camping on Mount Graham

In October we decided to go camping. We had such a fun time and decided next time we go camping we will go for a week. We had a brave skunk that would not leave us alone. So we finally let it eat what ever was on the ground in our camp. The picture was a Riggs Lake at the top of the Mountain. It is beautiful up there and very cold. We didn't think to bring jackets.

Our camping spot had a little hill that the kids loved to play on. It kept them very entertained.

This is when we first got to our camping spot. The kids are still clean. They didn't stay like that for long.

Angel Moroni

We took the kids out of school for the historic day!! They mounted the Angel Moroni on the Gila Valley Temple today! It was neat to see it get placed on there. Hope you enjoy the pictures! You can go to the link under "Favorite Sites" to see other construction pictures. The two good pictures are from the website, and the one bad pictures are from our camera (I guess we need a new camera). We took more pictures, and some of all of us, but they did not turn out at all. Anyway, it was fun to see hundreds of people parked on the side of the highway to watch it.

I just had my birthday. It was a fun day. Wes only worked a couple of hours and came home for lunch. We had BLT's for lunch with a tomato from our garden (yummy). For my present I got Settlers of Catan with the expansion. Yea I can't wait to play it. Who ever is up for a game-come on over.

He thinks he is so big and doesn't want to turn 5 because the new shoes that he got for his birthday won't fit him anymore. He had a fun Day. Colin and Konda were visiting from UT and came over to spend the night, so the kids had a big slumber party. It was fun to have them over, the kids play so good together and love having cousins at our house.

First day of School

Here are the pictures of our first day of school. Briley is in 2nd grade and Dayton is in Kindergarten and Colton is in Preshool. Dayton is still in his cast and gets pushed to school in his wheel chair and then uses his crutches around the school. It is really hard for Dayton to not be able to play on the playground but his teacher brings out some hotwheel cars for him to play with.

This is what Dayton ended up with after the match with the trampoline!! Poor kid-he wasn't even attempting a triple back flip or anything. On Wednesday (07/08/2009) night I (Wes) was jumping on the trampoline and throwing a ball over the net at Brittany's brother. (Note: The picture of Dayton on the trampoline is not of the day this happened, I just needed a picture of him on the trampoline for the post.) Briley, Dayton, Colton, and Mayley were all on there. I jumped up, threw the ball, then heard what sounded like Dayton's legs slapping against the pad that protects/covers the springs. Dayton started crying, and then screaming. Those of you who know Dayton--know he can scream! I wasn't too worried until the scream and as I looked down his leg was bent in an "L" shape in the middle of his shin. The bottom half of his leg was bent to the outside. It was at that point I knew that something was wrong. At the same time Brittany yelled at her brother to give him her phone. Brittany called 911 and it seemed like it took forever for the ambulance to arrive. Brittany's brother brought out an ice pack and we put it on his leg. Dayton was very brave! He just laid there in my arms. He didn't move hardly at all. He made sure to let me know when I moved though! I carried him to the ambulance and rode with him to the hospital. On the way to the hospital they got an IV started and gave him some morphine. They got him into the ER and we got asked all the questions about six different times. They took x-rays and kept giving him morphine to keep him comfortable as we waited for the Orthopedic Surgeon to get there. The second picture is of Dayton's leg (it is off of a cell phone so it is not that great.) Once the ortho doc arrived he looked at the x-rays and then told us that they would not have to do surgery, but that he would be able to manipulate it back into place. They gave Dayton some medicine that they called conscience sedation. He wasn't knocked out but couldn't feel anything, and helped him sleep. (The third picture is of Dayton's leg after they started to wrap it with the cast. Also off of a cell phone. The doctor had stepped out to look at the second x-ray they did to check on how the bones were set.) After manipulating the bone back into place the doctor started to tell Dayton to smile real big--and he would. Then he would tell Dayton, "now show us your teeth," and he did!! It was soo funny!! Once Dayton was fully awake again they let us go home. The last picture is what Dayton did the first two days after. Dayton hates being on the couch for too long. He loves to get on his wheelchair and push himself all around the house! He is also practicing a little to use his crutches! We have a neighbor that lets the kids ride their bikes in their driveway (it is concrete and ours has rocks--they are the best neighbors--it started when we first moved they offered to let the kids ride there to keep them away from the highway). Dayton now loves to have one of us push him up and down their driveway! He does it himself a little bit but it tires him out pretty quick. Thanks for all the prayer you have offered in Dayton's behalf, we appreciate them very much! We also appreciate your prayers on Brittany's behalf after her miscarriage--they have also been very helpful during that very difficult time for her!

Our extended family and our ward family have been have been very supportive and loving during both of these ordeals. We love and appreciate all of you!!

Wes had to make some more rabbit cages with all the rabbits that we are getting over here. Wes gets out his tools and he has 4 instant helpers by his side the whole time. He has learned to be patient and let the kids pound in some nails. It takes him quite a bit longer but the kids are learning so much from their Dad.

Our Garden

After trying to get a spot for our garden in this house we finally did it. I am so excited! We are going to plant tomatoes, Zucchini, Summer Squash, Carrots, Onion, Green Beans, and Potatoes. We will take pictures of the progress of our garden. We have also had a wild rabbit that has lived at our house and ate all my winter garden that I planted. Today I caught it and it is now our pet. It is a girl and the kids are deciding between the name Cocoa and Sparkle. It is actually really tame. The kids like to pet her.

Life is happening to fast. Briley turned 7 on Feb 16. She was two weeks over due and she finally came after Wes sprayed me with cold water and I tried to run as fast as a HUGE pregnant woman could run. But that at least made my water leak and after about 13 hours of labor and 2 hours of pushing our baby girl came out weighing 9 lbs 9 oz. She was a healthy baby girl. We love her so much and we are so glad that she is part of our family. She helps me out so much and is such a great big sister. We love you Briley. People always ask how we came up with her name. It is the first 3 letters in my name and the last 3 letters in Wes's name.

So I started coupon sense and Wes was a little leerie of it. Today was my first shopping trip to the store and I can't believe all that I got.Here is my shopping list:

I don't know where I'm going to put all my food. I will post more later. Tomorrow I am going to Queen Creek and my sister and I am going to get Tons of stuff there.

Bridget and Sam came down for the weekend and there was a costume contest for the Fall Festival. So we got all of the kids dressed in their costumes. It was really fun and Tillison ended up winning the grand prize of $50. That was really exciting.

This last weekend we went to the county fair. Dayton and Briley enter projects that they had done at school and Dayton even got second place for his project. We also watched a magic show and Briley got picked to be his helper for one magic trick. We had fun looking at all the exhibits and animals and then the kids could pick one ride to go on. After the fair we had dinner at McDonalds. It was such a fun day.

The Aftermath of Mountain Biking

This is a really long story:

I tried my hand at mountain biking. I thought it would be a good past time and something Wes and I could do together. I also was getting pretty cocky thinking that I was getting good at riding a bike. Boy did I get humbled. We started out on the trail and a mountain biking group caught up to us. I got out of their way so that they could past me. I actually didn't want to fall right in front of them so I let them past. But Wes just kept up with them. Pretty soon I was all by myself trying to make it up this hill that the road was half eroded and trying not to fall in the eroded parts. Which is really hard to do for me sense I can't even ride in a straight line on a flat surface. Well, I had to stop but then I found it difficult to start back up again, going up a hill that was dirt and trying to get my toes back into the toe clip on my pedal. My back tire kept peeling out. I started to get panicky because I was all by myself since Wes was with the other guys. Then at the top of the little hill, the mountain bike group stop and Wes was talking to them and waiting for me to catch up. But I was have trouble starting my bike. Just then, I don't know how it happen but both of my feet was on either side of the bike and the bike tipped over and both of my feet were pinned underneath the bike. So I was on top of the bike and my feet were underneath and I could not get myself untangled. Then I heard at the top of the hill, a guy looked down and said to Wes "Um, I think she is pinned under her bike." Now everyone is looking at me struggling to get out if this predicament. So Wes came back down the hill, and by that time I was all scrapped up and my ego was bruised also. Plus, I felt like Wes left me stranded and I was crying. He was like what is the big deal. And I couldn't tell him because I trying to stop myself from crying and I am holding my breath which is making my cry harder. I told him that I couldn't start my bike and he quickly told me how to start riding a bike going up a hill. I told him why didn't you tell me that in the first place and he shrugged and said "I thought it was just common sense." Well, maybe it is if you have been biking all your life. Anyways, we start going again and I am going pretty good at it and we make it to the top of the mountain. Wes quickly explains again how to go down a hill and not to use your left hand break and he also says that the trail is going to get really rocky. So he goes first so I can follow where he is putting his tires. I was starting to need to use my breaks but then my back tire would slide to the side and I felt like I was going to tip over. So I just quit using my breaks and I started flying down the hill. As I past Wes he yelled to me use my breaks and my left hand squeezed as hard as it could and I flew over the handle bars and hit my head on rocks. Luckily I had my helmet on. My leg and my shoulder also hit pretty hard as you can tell in the picture. Well if I was crying before, I am sobbing now. Wes helps me up and starts telling that I should never use my left break. That is not what I am wanting to hear right now. After a while, we get back going again and this time I am in the front so he can tell me what gear I need to be in. We hit this fork in the road and of course I pick the wrong way. When I was turning around, I turned to tight and I fell over again. On the same side as my other fall, So that is how I got the second big bruise on my leg. So we start going again and Wes is in the front this time, so I don't go the wrong way and he would tell me to just get off and walk. This one time I was walking down the trail and I fell down on my other side and got another big bruise on my hip. By the time we were done I fell 5 times and on just one leg I had 10 big bruises. I was really sore and exhausted. On the drive home I told Wes that he should of picked an easier trail to do on my first time trying and he said that was the easy trail. It usually takes Wes 30 minutes to do that trail and it took us 2 1/2 hours. So I decided that next time I should just start out with riding on a dirt road. The funny thing about this whole thing is that the first time I came down to Sierra Vista to meet his family we went mountain biking on this same trail and I didn't fall once. And I hadn't rode a bike in years. I think a had a guardian angel was looking out for me that day. I don't know where it was this last time.

Me, a Shovel, and some Sprite

Wes went to help someone move tonight so this day is just dragging on. I decided that I should get up from the computer and go do something outside before it gets too dark outside. I told the kids that I am going outside to dig in the garden to get the dirt ready to plant. So that they know where I am if they need me. Pretty soon Dayton comes out bare footed with his shovel and says he wants to help. I told he needs to get shoes on so when he jumps on the shovel it doesn't hurt his feet, but he jumped on the shovel and said his feet were tough. Maybe 3 minutes later he said he was going to go get some shoes on and went in the house. A little while later he came out with a cup in his hand and said, "Here mom, I brought out a drink for you, its Sprite." I said, " Oh thank you, I was getting thirsty." And then I took a drink. I said, "Dayton this is the best Sprite I have ever had." And then he said, "Yep, it is from a can." What a thoughtful boy I have!! Life is good with a shovel, dirt, Sprite and Dayton.

Last time when they were down visiting us in Queen Creek, Briley let me do her hair. Since I don't have any girls of my own, I love it when she lets me do her hair! Any way, she couldn't see the back of it, so we took pictures and let her see that way. She is growing up so fast!

9 Months!!!

Mayley had her 9 month appt today. She weighed in at 14lbs 13 oz. She is in the 1 percent for her weight and she is 27 in long and is in the 30 percent for her height. She is starting to clap her hands and is taking a few steps on her own. She is getting her top two teeth now also. She is always smiling and gets into every drawer that is on the bottom. She also likes to climb on the dishwasher door and take everything out of the dishwasher for me. I feel like I just clean up all her messes that she makes. But I wouldn't trade her for anything

The Cabin

For the 24th of July every year we go to The Cabin in Lakeside. This is my favorite time of year. We get to perform with our violins as a family in Snowflake and we get out of the heat and it rains each afternoon. It is just beautiful at the cabin. Wes is mowing the lawn with Mayley. It doesn't seem like a chores when there is a riding lawn mower. Then I took some funny pictures of Briley with Kade and Carson. It is sad that these are the only pictures that I took out of the whole weekend.

Utah Trip

We had a blast in Utah. We went up on Friday and did a Triathalon on Saturday. That is a picture of all the Miner Boys in their wet suits. Lets just say we finished with room to improve next year. Yes, we want to do it again next year. I actually did the duathon with Erin. We did the 15 Mile Bike and 5K run. I was surprised that I wasn't muscle sore the next day. I was sore from sitting on that bike seat though. Ouch!

On one of the days we went on a hike with all of Wes's family up Payson Canyon. It was a beautiful hike and it ended at a waterfall. The kids had fun playing in the freezing water.

We also went and saw Travis and Allison Bright, A long time family friend, and it was fun to see them again. Travis plays for the BYU Football team and he took us on a tour of where all the football players workout and meet for meeting and we even went into the locker room. I was surprised that it wasn't stinky in there. That was really fun to do.

It was a really fun trip and it is sad to be home and back to the real world of cleaning and laundry. Thanks to all of you who let us spend the night and day at your house. It was so much fun visiting you.

Brittany's Curse

I haven't had the best of luck lately and am wondering when my curse is going to stop and I will have good luck. Just when things couldn't get worst they do. This time it happened in my own house. I got up Saturday night to feed Mayley. After she was put back to sleep, I went into the bathroom to get a drink and when I was walking out I step right on a scorpian. It stung me pretty good right on the arch of my foot. I yelled for Wes and he came right away and we found the scorpian. He killed it and flushed it down the toilet. He then got some tylenol for me and tape some ice around my foot. I do not know how I was able to go back to sleep. I think I was just exhausted. When I woke up, my foot was throbbing. I tried to get on it and walk and it just shot pain up my leg. I didn't go to church that day. The numbness didn't go away until Monday about noon. I am just really worried about Mayley crawling and getting stung or one of my other kids. Knowing my luck the scorpian will crawl out of the toilet when I am sitting there and I will get stung on my back side.

Okay, well I was going to my dentist appointment. And so I was all by myself, Wes came home to stay with the kids. I was on my way and I must of been daydreaming thinking how good it was to drive in a quiet car. The radio was off, the windows were down and then all of the sudden there was a white car right in front of me. I didn't even have time to react and push on my brakes. I ran a red light and hit the judges wife up here. From all that I know she is doing okay. She did go to the ER and got check out but I don't know the result of that. But everyone I have asked about her says she is okay, just a little shook up. I was going about 40 mph and hit her on the driver side back tire. I am lucky that it isn't as bad as it could of been. Both of my airbags deployed and it felt like my face ran into a brick wall. My knees hit the dash below the steering wheel and got cut and bruised. I am a little sore in my back and neck but not to bad. At first I refused to go to the hospital. But then I started to get a really bad headache and felt like I just wanted to lay down in the middle of the road and go to sleep. The EMT came to check on me again and he said it would be wise to go to the ER. So I got to ride in an Ambulance. I asked if they could turn on the lights and sirens but told me no. It was pretty cool, but don't ever want to do it again. James heard about it and came down to the ER and Wes and James gave me a blessing. Our car is totaled and now we are looking for a suburban to buy since our family is growing and we need more room anyways. Pretty dramatic last couple of days

Fire on the Mountain

The Pots and Frye Mesa caught on fire the day after we went there. J.T., my cousin Jennifer's boyfriend, is a hot shot up her and was at the fire. He came over and we showed him our pictures of our family outing and he said that the car that Jared is by is completely charred and all the trees by the pots are burned up. It is so sad, it was such a beautiful place.

Jared came up to visit us and we went up to Fry Mesa. We had a blast. A little further up on a very rough road we went to a place called the Pots. There are water slides that you can climb up to and at the very end is this waterfall. That is where we are playing at. It was a beautiful spot. We did have a scary thing happen though. I was holding Mayley and watching the kids play in the water while Wes and Jared went to expore the water slides up the hill. All of the sudden Colton got taken from the water and was being pushed closer to the waterfall. I yelled to Briley to get him but it was to late. He went under the water and seem like forever that he was under until I could get to him. I had to set Mayley down on all the river rocks and jump in after him. We cryed for a little bit and was grabbing his ears. He isn't suppose to get his head under water, because he has tubes in his ears. I started calling for Wes to come and help me but he couldn't hear me because the waterfall was to loud. He is okay and it ended up turning out to be a fun family outing.

After living in this house for over a year it is finally coming to together like we have dreamed about. I finally got my yellow house. It looks so happy. My flowers are getting big and my grass is coming in slowly. I can't wait to get a water slide and play in our green summer grass. We still have a few things that we need to do around the house. Slowly we will get them done. This was a big goal that we got accomplished and I am so excited about the outcome.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!

Brittany doesn't know I am doing this--so it will be FUN to see how long it takes for her to find out!! Since it is Mother's day tomorrow I decided to pay tribute! Brittany is the most wonderful Mother to my children!! I do not know why I was blessed to have such a wonderful wife and mother of my children!! She treats me with such respect yet also helps me to better myself with gentle persuasion. I can not express enough my love and gratitude for all that she does for me--and she has done it for seven-and-a-half years (poor woman). I would be literally lost and a mess if I did not have Brittany in my life. She provides such stability and keeps my life balanced. She always makes sure that I spend time with the family and that is where I find my greatest joy!! She is my best friend and I am privileged to have her in my life! In our family we call her "Momma!" Something that most people don't know about our family, which started when Brittany and I were dating, when I would tuck her in I would tell her my version of the well known saying, and it is, "Good-night, sleepy tight, don't let the bed bugs chew, because I, LOVE, YOU!! I love you Britt!!

We painted the house (and it just happened that we finished the day before Mother's day so it is a Mother's day present--and that was one of the most recent pictures of Brittany and I).

I also have the best mother in the world and would not be half the person I am without her many years and continued influence in my life--all those that know her know what a great person she is! She is knowN as Tamara, Tammy, Grammy Tammy, Grandma, and of couse, my favorite Mom!! I love the book my mom got me to love and its title and then repeated phrase sums up how I feel (and of course I changed it a bit), "I'll Love You Forever, I'll Love You For Always, As Long As I'm Living My Mommy You'll Be." I love you Mom!!

Family Outing

Last Saturday we took a trip to Frye Mesa. The weather was perfect but the water was still really cold. It should be because the water is the run off of the melted snow on Mt Graham. It is beautiful up there and it is only about a half hour from our home. We will be taking alot more trips up there this summer. Maybe even camping.

Doctor's Appointment

We took Mayley to her 4 month checkup and she weighed 12 lbs and 12 oz. and 24 inches. She is so fun to have around the house. Aunt Diane gave us this blanket and Mayley has attached on to it. It is so soft and she will grab it and and bury her head in it and go right to sleep. Thanks Aunt Diane

Wow time flys. Mayley just turned for Months. She is such a good baby and is always smiling. She just rolled over for the first time this past week. Now I can't just leave her on the couch and I have to buckle her in when I put her in her swing and bouncer. I just want her to stay my little baby. She is growing up to quickly.

We got our Easter bunnies

We finally picked up our Easter Bunnies from Brother Romney in our ward. He raises rabbits, so we went and picked out a boy rabbit for the boys and a girl rabbit for the girls. Briley named theirs Diamond and Dayton named theirs Bumble Bee. He thinks his rabbit is a transformer. They hold them all day long. In August we can breed them and have our own little bunnies. It is so exciting to have animals finally. After seven years of marriage, we finally get a pet.

Dayton's Fieldtrip to the Fire Station

Dayton's preschool went to the fire station an Monday. Dayton thought the trucks were so cool. The fireman is a father to one of the boys in Dayton school. Up here in Thatcher there are only volunteer firefighter. Wes is interested in becoming a volunteer. We will see if everything works out. Doesn't everyone think that firefighter are sooo cute. I always did!!

What Time Is It Mr. Fox

A Big Helper

Dayton came in to me and asked if I can spray him with the hose on the Tramp-o-line. I told him I didn't thing it was a good idea because he has been complaining about a sore throat and he has been coughing all day. He said the dogs with brown eyebrows have been making him sick. He comes up with the craziest stories. I think he is talking about John's, my brother, dog.

All Briley wanted to do for her birthday was go to Mom and Dad's house and ride Pony. She loves that horse. She also went to the Rockin' R and helped give pony rides. She thinks she is so big leading people on Pony.

Here is Briley at 15 months. The day we got our camera and two days before we had Dayton. She got the eggs out of the chicken pen at Mom and Dad's house. She just turned 6 years old on the 16th of Feb. Time just flys. I still remember having her. She was born at 11:44 pm was 9lbs 9 oz. and very alert as soon as she was born. I pushed for 2 hours trying to get her out. My doctor thought I was going to have a 7lb baby. I guess she would of been if I hadn't been two weeks late. Wes was the one that help me go into labor. We lived in Wintercove, Grandpas trailer park and Wes was spraying a trailer with water trying to get it ready to paint for Grandpa and decided to spray me with the cold water. Remember that it was Feburary. I don't know what he was thinking. Spraying his 2 week over due wife. Well, I started to run away, as fast as I could, which wasn't very fast. I got soaking wet. The next morning, when I sat up in bed. My water leaked a little bit and we went to the hospital. We love our little girl. She brings joy into our life everyday. She is the peace maker in our family and tries so hard to do what's right.

She is getting so big. I wanted to get a bouncer so I could take her with me when I go from room to room and so I went to this consignment store that is up here and found this pink bouncer. It is so cute. And even better, I got it for 3.00. You can't beat that! It helped that I take clothes there that my kids have out grown so I had a credit there. I love that store! I also got the cutest crib set there. It is purple and green. I will post pictures of it when I get it all set up. It is so fun shopping for girl stuff.

New Hair Cuts

We did it!!! My cousin Jenny came over and chopped our hair on Friday. Briley hair is so much easier to do. My getting ready time is also cut in half ( Wes likes that). Not to mention I will save so much money on Shampoo, conditioner and Mousse. I do miss my long hair. But it will be back to that length in a year from now. My hair grow so fast!!

We forgot our camera at Wes's parents house while we were their over Christmas but we just got it back so I will be taking some pictures of her soon. I took her to her 1 month appointment yesterday and she is 8 lbs 6 oz. Still smaller than Briley and Colton when they were born. It is so fun to have a little baby.

Home from the Hospital

The kids stayed with Grammy Tammy until Sunday evening. This is the first time that they saw Mayley. They all wanted to hold her but they do a good job at sharing her.
Here is our most recent family picture. I can't believe that we have 4 kids!!
She is a snuggler. I love holding her. She love to be held close and she wanted to suck on anything that is near her mouth. She even started to suck on my chin.

Labor Story:

We are finally home from the hospital and ready to start life with one more kid. When we got home my mom and dad, Briana and John all came up to see Mayley. We are so excited to have another girl in our family. She is so beautiful and Briley, Dayton and Colton want to hold her all the time. I am feeling really good after delivering her. We went in on Saturday morning for me to get induced. It took three nurses and four pokes for them to get an IV in me and it still wasn't in good. I couldn't move my arm at all or an alarm would go off and the nurse would have to came in and reset the IV again. They started the pitosin at 9:30 and it didn't really do anything until they broke my water at 2:00. The contractions got really hard and I dialated from a 4 to an 8 in an hour and a half. About 3:40 I started pushing and she was born at 3:51 PM. We are so excited to have a little girl.

Colton

Colton was asleep for most of the time we were at the Museum. He woke up when we went to do the activity outside. It was really cold outside. It was in the 50's during the day and then it was also windy. So we had to bundle up. Colton didn't want to get out of the stroller into the cold.
When he finally got out off the stroller he went over to play with the musical brake drums and roters. He loved hitting them and seeing that each one makes a different sound.

This isn't a very good picture but it is Wes, Briley, and Dayton in a big bubble. This is in the car on the way home. Colton was throwing up all night our last night that we were there. So Briley helped him get to sleep in the car on our long trip home. Colton just hugged her arm and fell right to sleep. She is going to be a big help to me when I have this baby.

Crazy Boy

This is as far as Dayton got to painting his face. He drew spiders on his cheeks.
They had a big pin thing that you can press you face, hand or body on it. It was fun to look on the other side and see your imprint.
They had a big magnets that you can make different things with. Dayton and Wes built a cowboy.
Dayton loved to do this. He weaved beads through the string. He thought this was so fun. This would be tedious for me to do. He loves doing things that take patience.

Children's Museum

We went to a Children's Museum in New Mexico and had a Blast. Wes made huge bubbles and this is Briley jumping off the stairs to pop the bubble.
They had a face painting station for the kids to paint their own faces. Briley had so much fun thinking she was putting on makeup.
This is the finished product. I so glad she can not wear make up yet. She wanted to keep it on her face until Monday so she could go to school like that for her show and tell. She was pretty disappointed to take a shower when we got back to our hotel room.

New Mexico Trip

This last week we went to New Mexico. We had so much fun, but are glad that we are home. While we were in our hotel room, Dayton asked me why I'm not cooking anymore. We are all tired of eating out. I never thought that I would say that!

Halloween Decoration

Saturday we went to an aution that EA was putting on. We got 100 Pounds and winter grass seed for $45 and these little chairs all for $5 dollars. Don't ask me what we are doing to so with all the chair. We put them on our front porch and the kids got to them and decided to put them in groups across our driveway. Here is a closer look at our halloween pumpkin that the kids like to air up every night. Our house sure is festive up here. We are about the only ones, at least that we have seen. We love the holidays and this time of year.

Our Landscaping

Here is the pictures of what our yard is looking like so far. We still have a lot to do and I don't think there is enough time to get it all done and plant winter grass.
Here is a picture with our halloween decorations. It looks really neat driving down the highway and night and having that big pumpkin lite up.
Here is what our back yard is looking like. We are parking in the back so it is easier to turn around to get out of our drive way. The spot where the swing set is will be my garden area someday. Whenever I can get all the big rocks out, probably after I have the baby.

This last weekend Wes's parents came up to our house to help with our yard. On Sunday we decided to have a picnic at the same spot that we went to last weekend. The kids wanted to show Dad where we went. So we packed a lunch and all went to the mountains and listened to the Sunday afternoon session of conference at our picnic spot.
It was pretty chilly up there, especially when we would sit in the shade. We had to wrap up in blankets.
Me and Colton relaxing in the sun. I sure am getting big. I'm not too uncomfortable yet. 8 more weeks left. Yeaaa!!!
Wes was helping Colton across the creek and he almost fell in. It was pretty funny to try and catch his balance and not get Colton wet at the same time. They made it across safely.

Landscaping Our Yard

We rented a tractor to landscape out yard on Friday. Dayton got up at 6 in the morning to go with Dad to pick up the tractor. Briley wanted to ride on the tractor before she went to school so Wes decided to take her to school with the tractor. She was sooo excited to ride to school on the tractor and show all her friends.
This is Colton riding on the tractor with Dad. He loved to sit up there and work with his Daddy. I liked it to because then I didn't have to worry about him getting in Wes's way.

Picnic at the Mountain

This last Saturday Wes had a meeting for work so the kids and I desided to go put to the mountain after we got the house cleaned. It was a beautiful day and was raining off and on throughout the day. We didn't have to go to far up the mountain until we came to a little creek that we had our lunch and a played in the water. The kids loved it and wants to take Daddy up there over conference weekend and have a picnic. We love this time of year!!

Rainbow Day at Preschool

This day was rainbow day at Dayton's Preschool. His teacher requested that they wear the color of the day. With much bribery we finally got him to wear this polo shirt and Wes said that he would wear his matching one to work also. I also had to take him to the candy store after school and he got to pick out his own candy. After I took him to the candy store we went to Wes's work and showed everyone there that they were twins that day.

A Big Bed for a Big Boy

Well, now that Colton is two he is in a toddler bed. It is just as well since he could crawl out of his crib anyways. I think it was a challenge for him to see how fast he could get out of the crib once we left the room. So now he is in a big boy bed and loves it. He stays in it and when he goes to sleep he sticks his nose in the wood by the wall. I don't see how that is comfortable but whatever works for him. Now we just need to get him to sleep through the night again. He wakes up about three every night and comes into our bedrrom just to see if we are still there.

Colton needs a bath

One day I couldn't find Colton so I started to seach the house and I found him in the laundry room. He climbed into the washer and was sitting in it. He is a silly boy and keeps me entertained everyday.

The Rain Storm

Sunday evening a big storm came through. The lightning was right above our house and instantly there would be loud thunder. The rain started coming down so hard. It rained hard for a good hour and everything started to flood. The kids couldn't resist getting in the water. They were soaking wet. Today Dayton has had to change his clothes about 4 times because they keep getting muddy. At least it makes the weeds easier to pull.

Dayton's First Day of School

Yesterday was Dayton's first day of Preschool. He was very excited to go but I thought when we got their he would get scared and not want me to leave. Well, that wasn't the case. He went right in and put his backpack up. When I picked him up his teacher said he did great. He told me he made a new friend named Spencer and he can't wait to go back. He was dissapointed that it is only two days a week.

Brittany's Birthday

Well, it was my birthday on the 19th. I'm a half a century old now. Wes and I went on a date Saturday night to celebrate. It is fun to spend some time together. Wes got me a big hymn book so I can use it to play in church. It was very thoughtful of him.

Briley's First Day of School
